Our other Classes Include:
Students will participate in a team building experience by canoeing with a partner that they might not personally know.
Paired with the aquatic studies class, students are taught skills to go fishing. Aside from the recreational value of fishing, it also provides an excellent opportunity to practice 'science.' Students are able to observe fish up close and study their adaptations.
With each class containing a mixture of students from the two to four schools, initiative games offer a valuable opportunity to get to know peers while focusing on cooperation and team building. These games help students develop skills in problem solving communication and leadership.
The emphasis at the OEC farm is to demonstrate how people have used plants, animals and other resources in the past and present. Students will visit our pioneer log cabin, animal barn and garden. They will also have an opportunity to go horseback riding.
